Background:
The Indo-German Green Skills Programme (IGGSP) supports Government of India’s?schemes and programmes?to overcome the gender disparity. The project cooperates with key stakeholders from?central and state?governments, civil society?organisations?and industries to build sustainable models for improving gender parity in green occupations and ensuring that women can fully?take part?and benefit from India's economic?development.?IGGSP?is?committed to take India’s skill agenda forward in vocational education focussing on the green occupations, gender?equality?and facilitation of the international migration of workforce?at four?locations?namely Karnataka, ?Maharashtra, ?and West Bengal.??
Objective:
India’s rapid transition towards Solar and electric mobility Is a key pillar of its climate action and sustainable development agenda. The electric vehicle (EV) and Solar ecosystem is expected to generate millions of new jobs over the next decade across vehicle manufacturing, charging infrastructure, servicing, maintenance, solar plant installation and maintenance and battery management. To meet this growing demand for skilled manpower, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) play a critical role in preparing an industry-ready workforce, particularly for EV and solar technician –related job roles.?
IGGSP intends to engage a qualified and experienced training agency through a competitive procurement process and establish a single Service Contract covering the complete scope of work. Engaging a single agency will ensure consistency in the quality and standardisation of training materials, uniform implementation of the Master Trainer Training Programme, effective project management, streamlined contract administration, efficient coordination among stakeholders, cost predictability, timely delivery of outputs, and a single point of accountability for achieving the assignment objectives and delivering all agreed outputs within the specified implementation period. This approach will also facilitate effective quality assurance, knowledge management, and long-term sustainability of the training ecosystem established under the Indo-German Green Skills Programme.
