Background:
Enable scalable, technically viable, and financially sustainable SHP models that also generate local economic opportunities and inclusive development outcomes. Beyond contributing to renewable energy generation, the revitalization of SHP projects is envisioned to serve as a catalyst for livelihood enhancement, climate resilience, and equitable regional development in Odisha. The assignment focuses not just on engineering, but on the techno - commercial assessment of existing assets, management system and the long-term commercial viability of the plant under various business / service model.
Objectives:
Assess and utilize full potential of Small Hydro Plants (SHP) in Odisha to support the revitalization and sustainable development of small hydro power projects across the state. This effort aims to create a cohesive and enabling ecosystem that facilitates the mainstreaming of SHP within broader renewable energy planning frameworks and regional development strategies.
Tasks for the assignment:
- Detailed Project Report (DPR) & techno-commercial Audit
- Assessment and estimation of Rehabilitation & Commissioning Process and budget
